In our recently completed fiscal year, BCLC generated a record $1.4 billion in net income to the Province of B.C. to support First Nations, host local governments, health care, education and community programs across the province.
JOB SUMMARY
The Project Analyst 2 is assigned to projects and/or programs that are managed through the Program Management Office (PMO) to support Project and Program Managers in the successful execution of an initiative. This role provides a broad variety of support for projects and/or programs and their stakeholders.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Applies specialized knowledge, advising on project activities, managing tools and communication, working with Project and Program Managers, agile teams, vendors, and stakeholders to plan, budget, monitor and support the successful execution of initiatives.
- Contributes to budgets and purchasing processes for Project Managers and contract staff, including forecasting, creating purchase requisitions and monitoring purchase orders and invoices.
- Facilitates communication and coordination between the project/program and other departments, stakeholders, vendors, and agile teams.
- Conducts significant analysis on project data, and prepares, maintains, and submits accurate reporting such as dashboards, timelines, issues, risks and financial status on projects and programs for various stakeholder groups.
- Ensures documentation meets audit, regulatory and user needs, in compliance with PMO processes.
- Leads small projects and works collaboratively to schedule project planning sessions, workshops, and project meetings; and create governance and other stakeholder presentations.
- Leads, collaborates, and builds relationships with cross-functional team members.
- Creates and verifies project documentation such as communication plans, charters, project roadmaps, status reports and dashboards.
- Recommends process efficiencies and continuously improves shared procedures, frameworks, and tools.
- Manages stakeholder listings, project risk register and project audit documents.
- Provides informal functional leadership and mentors peers.
QUALIFICATIONS
A combination of education, experience, and demonstrated skills may be considered.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, supplemented by industry recognized professional courses;
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a project coordination role in a technical environment;
- Project Management certification is an asset.
KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Solid knowledge and experience with SAP, SharePoint, Confluence, Jira, Power BI and other reporting tools;
- Strong knowledge of program/project management methodologies;
- Solid demonstration of questioning and improving processes, systems, and practices;
- Strong technical writing skills, and able to write reports and document procedures;
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, and Project.

- Understanding of Agile methodology or experience working with a cross-functional team environment would be an asset;
