Job Summary:

The Analyst, EBI Analytics Execution facilitates and documents detailed functional and non-functional requirements, and oversees and manages the tactical execution of BI tasks as they flow through the delivery process. As a member of the client management team and a specialist in business systems analysis and business intelligence, acts as a bridge between business and technical audiences.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Executes various data queries (simple, ad hoc and complex) and provides data to the Client Management team; documents query requirements and collaborates with Analytics Delivery Specialist to deliver data to Senior Client Insights Partner; facilitates discussions and captures data and reporting functional and non-functional requirements including conceptual data model; obtains sign off of requirements.

     

  • Supports Senior Client Insights Partner in consulting with and influencing business stakeholders, analyzing industry benchmarks and working with business clients on setting the targets.  Acts as a liaison between business and technical teams.

     

  • Supports Manager, EBI Analytics Operations and Manager, EBI Solution Delivery by providing advance notice of upcoming work and input for work prioritization and resources allocation. Closely collaborates with delivery team and other applicable BCLC teams to efficiently manage progress of tasks as they flow through BI Delivery. Manages clients’ expectations in terms of delivery timelines.

     

  • Performs and/or coordinates user acceptance testing and supports change management planning as well as change management implementation.

     

  • Researches data and reporting best practices (where best practices may include industry, general business or BCLC business acumen) and supports Analytics Execution Practice Lead in establishing and maintaining best business systems analysis and project management practices within EBI team; provides feedback to management related to the best tools and methodologies to business systems analysis and project management practices.
  • Closely collaborates with delivery team to understand technical possibilities and limitations and recommends the best methodology/tools.

     

  • Provides training to the team on business intelligence methods, tools, design, and result, and on advanced reporting and database marketing best practices including segmentation, campaign management, core KPI development, and campaign level analysis.

     

    Minimum Required Qualifications:

     

    Education and Experience

  • A degree in computer science, math, economics or business;
  • 3-5 years of related experience in leading the development of business intelligence solutions and working in a BI environment (SAS, Qlikview, Cognos or equivalent tools) with working knowledge of SQL,  MS Access, other Database Management tools;
  • Solid expertise in the Business Intelligence processes with good understanding of BI architecture and data models;
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

 

Technical Requirements

  • Proven experience in influencing and helping business stakeholders to frame their business problems and BI needs;
  • Excellent understanding of analytical concepts and problem solving skills;
  • Proven experience in gathering business requirements needed for successfully developing and supporting business intelligence applications;
  • Experienced in data analysis and designing reporting solutions including but not limited to dashboards, portals, and report objects;
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work on multiple priorities;
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills; ability to develop technical documentation and explain complex information in an effective manner;
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills; able to act on own initiative, exercise sound judgment , prioritize tasks; and work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Solid BCLC business acumen and a knowledge of gaming industry and BCLC’s suite of games.
