Capability Manager – System Support

As a Capability Manager, System Support ….

you will work collaboratively with multiple product groups and vendors throughout the organization. This position requires excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You will conduct periodic reviews of existing systems and processes in order to ensure compliance, efficiency, effectiveness and alignment with organization business plan, roadmaps and business strategies. You bring experience of managing vendors and 3rd party delivered services. Leading this capability will require researching complex solutions in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for employee development, coaching, recruitment, performance management, and supporting your employees across your capability pod.

You’re someone who brings experience in managing a team that is focused on the customer experience, resolving problems and managing risk. You’re not intimidated by technology, you know how to leverage it and partner with technical experts to build great products and also to support them through the lifecycle. You know what to do to make things happen. Your skills are broad with strong communication skills. You leverage modern tools, and a simple but organized process to keep the teams and stakeholders on track, in-line and accountable with the product vision.

For this role you bring the following qualifications….

  • 3 - 5 years related experience as well as experience in a leadership capacity.
  • Deliver hands-on coaching of individual teams in all aspects of scrum and Kanban.
  • Knowledge of Tier 1 to 3 support processes and the skills and desire to introduce new end to end processes to the organization
  • Must be able to work with the business on developing support models, KPI’s and Operating and Service Level agreements.
  • A great communicator who can innovate and socialize best practices for support and technology debt management to the product teams
  • Introduce end to end support processes to BT and the corporation
  • Managing budget and forecasting associated with the work of the product team.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong and trusting relationships with managers, employees and peers.
  • Collaborates with other product owners on the prioritization of cross-team dependencies and deliverables required by other product teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
