Job Summary:
The Manager, Client Insights & Research leads the Client Insights & Research team, oversees the implementation of the Enterprise Insights strategy, and makes recommendations to the Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) Strategy, supporting its alignment with BCLC’s vision and strategies.  This role will play an advisory role, ensuring alignment with internal and external influencers that may affect the business future state.  This role proactively develops and manages the relevant working relationships with internal stakeholders (including senior leaders) and with applicable external stakeholders, including service partners, vendors and governing agencies. 

 

Key Accountabilities:
•    Provides leadership to the Research and Insights, and Client Insights teams. Oversees the client relationships across the organization, managing their business requests, prioritizing the workload, advising on solutions and delivering capabilities and Insights.
•    Oversees the implementation of the Enterprise Insights strategies, leading and executing prioritization strategies and advises internal clients on workload and resource management.
•    Develops, maintains and manages high profile partnerships and/or collaborative working relationships with a wide variety of internal clients including senior leaders. Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) to the business, advising on Research and Analytics best practices, solutions, providing recommendations on Enterprise Insights initiatives.
•    Oversees the design and execution of BI strategies that promote the enhancement of customer understanding throughout the organization. Advises leaders on the identification of drivers and actions that foster a customer centric culture.
•    Develops and manages Research and Analytics operational budgets in collaboration with the EBI team; may present business cases for capital expenditures or high risk financial decisions.
•    Oversees the development and implementation of Research and client insights business plans that aligns with the business units’ strategic direction and supports key initiatives for the enterprise.
•    Advises on the development of strategies to integrate Research and client insights in terms of operating models, client management and insight delivery.
•    Leads the development of and advises on the execution of client engagement standards, policies, practices and/or procedures (including SLAs and intake guidelines), to ensure compliance and enforcement for the team and across the enterprise.
•    Oversees vendor and external partner relationships and performance standards to provide line of sight to senior leadership.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience

•    University degree in business, computer science, marketing or a relevant discipline;
•    5-7 years relevant experience in research and business intelligence/business analytics role, including progressive experience in a leadership capacity;
•    Experience in the gaming industry would be an asset;
•    An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

 

Technical Requirements
•    Advanced knowledge of BI and reporting tools is preferred;
•    Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations;
•    Ability to think quickly and respond appropriately to different audiences;
•    Excellent strategic thinking skills;
•    Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering Business Intelligence projects across different line of business, providing product performance measurement and data-driven recommendations that influence the course of the business initiatives and drive insights;
•    Excellent team building and leadership skills, and proven ability to motivate, coach and develop;
•    Solid experience understanding business needs, assessing the best tools to support them and delivering solutions; 
•    Demonstrated experience in developing the strategic design of a set of management reports and their presentation to a variety of audiences;
•    Ability to communicate strategic direction into a detailed plan of action and the details of complex processes succinctly to a non-technical audience.
