The Team

 

This is a new role supporting Technology Platform Enablement from within Cyber Security. Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Security Architecture, this role is focused on collaboration with various Cloud-focused agile teams throughout BCLC such as AWS and Azure Platform Teams. 


The Role


The Cloud Security Specialist role supports BCLC’s Cyber Security program by taking a lead role in identifying information security risks in high-complexity systems particularly Cloud-based, recommending appropriate controls, and assisting with technical mitigation strategies with security operations and / or technology, and provides expert support to various teams and other organizational stakeholders on security matters.


What you will accomplish

  • Collaborates with colleagues within and across teams as necessary on security matters
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of information security and operations policies, standards and procedures
  • Collaborates with other teams and stakeholders in building secure technical services and infrastructure at BCLC
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with internal system owners and external vendors, providing cyber security and risk management support.
  • Maintains good understanding of BCLC’s key business systems and processes to support accountabilities listed above, and for consideration and input into Cyber Security program.
  • Continuously develops sharp technical skills, quickly getting up to speed on new technology


What will make you successful

  • Must be a team player passionate about information security, information technology, and helping others 
  • Instinct for troubleshooting and initiative
  • Understanding of Cloud fundamentals of tier 1 providers such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
  • Familiarity building secure Cloud systems and environments
  • Enjoys evangelizing security matters and helping other individuals and teams build security awareness, skills, and best practices
  • Process and systems automation development and refinement
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write reports and document procedures
  • Ability to deal with highly sensitive matters with a high degree of tact and diplomacy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize items
  • Good with problem solving and analytical thinking

 

It would be awesome if you also had

  • Experience in information security / application security / information technology
  • Experience working with security platforms and tools such as SOAR, SIEM, and EDR.
  • Cloud and/or Security Technology certifications
  • Experience working with Agile Teams and Processes
