Job Summary:

 

The Senior Specialist, iGaming Business Development supports the growth and optimization of the iGaming portfolio through business insights, performance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. This role partners closely with internal teams and B2B stakeholders to translate player, product, and financial performance data into actionable insights that inform business decisions, optimize programs, and improve commercial outcomes.

This role leads and facilitates customer relationships, as well as, understands customer needs, representing both BCLC and B2B needs in a mutually beneficial manner.  The Senior Specialist will utilize their knowledge of the product lines and provide analytical oversight and strategic guidance across B2B initiatives, technology enhancements and partner programs.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Maintains a strong understanding of BCLC and PlayNow strategies across Marketing, Analytics, Product, CRM, and Technology, and applies this knowledge to support B2B and Business Development initiatives through insight-driven recommendations.
  • Monitors and evaluates the performance of B2B programs, partnerships, and initiatives by analyzing revenue, player behaviour, engagement, and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develops clear, insight-based narratives that explain performance results and support decision-making for internal stakeholders and B2B partners.
  • Partners with internal teams to support the planning, prioritization, and evaluation of B2B-related product, technology, and process enhancements, representing business needs and performance considerations.
  • Acts as the business representative for B2B initiatives by ensuring requirements, success metrics, and performance outcomes are clearly defined and measured throughout implementation.
  • Supports the development and refinement of B2B and Business Development plans by contributing analysis, forecasts, and performance outlooks that inform medium- to high-impact decisions.
  • Manages day-to-day oversight of the business development portfolio with a focus on performance tracking, issue resolution, and continuous improvement rather than transactional sales activity.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with B2B counterparts, using data and insights to align priorities, manage expectations, and drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Collaborates with operational stakeholders to define, refine, and improve processes, ensuring delivery initiatives remain focused on player experience, performance outcomes, and business value.

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

 

  • Post-secondary degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration;
  • 4 to 6 years in eGaming including experience working with Marketing, Product, CRM, and managing key stakeholder relationships
  • 5 or more years of experience in the Gambling industry;
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;

 

Technical Requirements

 

  • Understanding of basic revenue forecasting, profit management and business planning concepts;
  • Thorough understanding of BCLC’s and PlayNow’s strategic direction with an ability to represent those strategies to current and potential partners
  • Extensive understanding of PlayNow platform systems and vendors;
  • Exceptional communication, public relations and presentation skills with the ability to negotiate and influence the decision making process;
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous/unknown territories by drawing parallels where possible, and using as much evidence-based judgment as possible;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an aptitude to influence and speak to a variety of audiences in order to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes;
  • Knowledge of the gaming industry and an understanding of the inherent issues and risks with this entertainment channel both within BC and other jurisdictions;
  • Knowledge of Gaming criteria under the Criminal Code of Canada is preferred;
  • Computer skills – MS office suite.
