Job Summary:

 

The Team Lead, Digital Analytics leads a team in the development, implementation, maintenance and support of digital analytics solutions to grow business intelligence capabilities and ensures the integrity of the reporting data.  As an expert in digital analytics, is a consultative partner to both internal and external stakeholders, providing education, guidance and recommendations for improvement, and for bringing new concepts and methods to the analytics team. 

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Leads a team of Digital Analysts in the translation of business requirements into technical deliverables; develops relevant processes, procedures, and standards within an analytics environment in order to drive performance and program improvement, and ensures team is meeting client departments’ goals and expectations. 
  • Leads the development, implementation, maintenance and support of web analytics solutions to grow business intelligence capabilities and ensures the integrity of the reporting data. Supports Client Management and Analytics Execution teams in gathering and understanding web analytics needs and requirements.
  • Develops strategies and plans for supporting the achievement of business objectives while working closely with the stakeholders.
  • As subject matter expert and practice lead in Web Analytics, develops and recommends solutions and approaches to utilize web analytics as a tool for business and market research and for predictive modeling and forward looking scenarios to improve investment management and performance.
  • Develops or mentors data and reporting team members in developing web analytics deliverables.
  • Guides other Solution Delivery team members in performing technical and/or administrative duties related to web analytics.
  • Leads the implementation of best practices to improve web analytics capabilities (where best practices  may include industry, general business or BCLC business acumen); establishes and maintains the practice, fosters organizational culture, supports and mentors all other team members; Provides feedback to management related to the best tools and methodologies to support the data management practice

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

 

  • Degree in Business Admin, Computer Science, or Information Technology;
  • Certification in Business Analysis is desired;
  • 4-6 year’s related experience where an in-depth understanding relational databases has been gained;
  • Experience in application development and/or data analysis and governance is required;
  • Strong experience in business intelligence tools and/or data governance;
  • Related industry experience would be an asset;
  • Leadership experience is an asset:
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

 

Technical Requirements

 

  • In-depth understanding of web analytics
  • SQL/SAS proficiency and database analysis skills;
  • Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, and Outlook expertise;
  • Excellent analytical ability and a strong understanding of analytical concepts;
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to work in a cross-functional environment with all levels of management and to explain complex information in an effective manner;
  • Ability to act on own initiative, to exercise sound judgment and to prioritize tasks;
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Excellent interpersonal , time management multi-tasking and organizational skills;
  • Excellent conflict resolution and effective mediation and facilitation skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify potential problems and vulnerabilities and apply a structured approach to problem solving;
  • Ability to manage deadlines, multiple tasks and adapt well to changing priorities;
  • Self-starter with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
