Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Strategy, the Change Management Partner is responsible for leading and supporting the change management strategy and plans for specified corporate initiatives, including the development, delivery and communication of change management activities and programs, ensuring programs meets desired business outcomes. 

 

The role acts as an expert advisor within the change and stakeholder engagement streams and supports stakeholders in implementing change strategies and plans and mitigating risks, by providing sound change management advice, tools, and training. 

 

Key Accountabilities:
•    Leads and supports the change management strategy and, including the development, delivery and communication of change management activities and programs.  Conducts stakeholder analysis and change readiness assessments to define and understand the change impacts and potential barriers to success.   Continuously improves and updates the change management plan and tools based on stakeholder feedback and input.
•    Applies BCLC’s change management framework, processes, measurements and tools to help drive successful change on corporate initiatives. Liaises with and supports business leaders in the structured use of BCLC’s change management framework, approach and methodology.
•    Acts as expert advisor within the change and stakeholder engagement streams, advising, empowering and providing guidance to leaders and teams in implementing change management strategies and plans. Provides feedback into change management activities and deliverables by participating in planning meetings and reviewing draft deliverables. Identifies strategic change issues and facilitates the development of solutions.
•    Engages stakeholders to gain their support in championing change and ensuring its implementation and sustainment across the company. Facilitates relationships, and builds consensus to achieve the desired transformational results. 
•    Minimizes project risks by identifying potential threats to success and providing strategies and recommendations for mitigating risks.
•    Partners with the Corporate Communications Team to coordinate communication initiatives, ensuring consistency and communication of over-arching key messages; utilizes existing and develops new communications tools and methods to deliver messages to employees.
•    Works with other People and Culture Partners to identify and understand changes and/or impacts to the people resulting from change plans; including changes to current roles, and organizational structure.


Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience
•    Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
•    4-6 years current, related experience in change management and/or project management, including experience leading and supporting large-scale change initiatives.
•    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

 

Technical Requirements

•    Expert knowledge and extensive experience in change management principles and methodologies;
•    Knowledge of project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle;
•    Ability to work independently or in a collaborative environment;
•    Active listening skills and facilitation skills;
•    A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process;
•    Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal);
•    Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization;
•    Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal;
•    Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills;
•    Demonstrated proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Visio;
•    Understanding of B.C. Gaming industry would be considered an asset.
