Job Summary

 

The Product Specialist applies deep product knowledge and strong customer advocacy to execute product initiatives that retain and entertain our current players and attract new player participation for the “bricks and mortar” Casino business with its slots, tables, and bingo line of business.

This position demonstrates creativity and innovation to bring to life dynamic entertainment offerings to ensure player engagement while maximizing revenues in a socially responsible and high integrity manner.  The Product Specialist supports product changes through understanding both player behaviour and product performance analytics while collaborating with department members, vendors, cross functional teams, and industry professionals. 

 

Accountabilities

  • Executes product plans in alignment with the product strategies developed by the Senior Product Specialist(s), through consultation, collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders
  • Evaluates product and project performance through the usage of analytical tools and observations of playing behaviours in gaming facilities and identifies opportunities to the Senior Product Specialist to enhance the player experience.
  • Develops and refines reporting tools while working closely with analytics teams to support product evaluation.
  • Coordinates with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth deployment of products and features to end customers with proper support systems in place such as marketing, training and maintenance, while proactively resolving product issues and escalating complex matters to the Senior Product Specialist.
  • Builds, maintains, and manages relationships with vendors and casino property operators to encourage best approaches for product delivery to players.
  • Supports the development of product plans to realize opportunities identified using analytical tools, customer insights, and idea collaboration with team members, vendors, casino property operators, and other departments.
  • Provides input into business planning and assists in forecasting capital and direct expense budgeting to support strategic product initiatives.
  • Participates in decisions with product pricing, configuration and placement to meet specific player, casino property, and stakeholder needs.

 

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience
  • A degree in a business discipline such as business administration or marketing;
  • 3-5 years related progressive experience;
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. 

 

Technical Requirements

  • Experience in principles, concepts, practices, techniques and tools in the areas of product management and/or business analysis;
  • Solid project management and organizational skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business situations and develop solutions;
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and with close attention to detail;
  • Proven ability to deal with sensitive matters with a high degree of diplomacy, tact and confidentiality;
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking/innovation;
  • Strong computer skills – MS office suite;
  • Understanding of B.C. gaming industry an asset.
