Job Summary:

The Product Specialist, eLottery is responsible for the PlayNow eLottery Product portfolio and operations. Responsibilities include content enhancements to PlayNow Lottery platforms; leveraging customer understanding of digital lottery players; assessing and recommending potential opportunities to fulfill the player and portfolio strategies; and providing expertise on convergent product initiatives and launching games and platforms.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Creates the implementation strategy and schedule for product content on mobile and web assets.
  • Provides operational support for the eLottery Products portfolio by managing the product backlog, assessing and prioritizing opportunities, and leading development efforts.
  • Creates, documents, coordinates, implements and refines operational processes with the goal of increasing speed to market while maintaining auditability and fulfilling compliance requirements.
  • Liaises with internal stakeholders in order to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships and ensures implementation of events and games that have been identified to be featured on web and mobile pages.
  • Establishes and manages relationships with external development partners and ensures vendors/consultants/contractors execute on strategic and tactical directives as stated in Statements of Work.
  • Establishes and maintains familiarity with compliance, responsible gambling and social responsibility policy and recommendations.
  • Monitors websites, mobile assets game performance on a regular basis and makes recommendations based on performance data.
  • Conducts and presents competitor analysis with recommendations to inform the direction of player and portfolio strategies.
  • Conducts business and user acceptance testing as required.
  • Advocates the Lottery product portfolio both internally and externally.
  • Supports projects as required.


Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline;
  • 3 - 5 years of related gaming experience, with an emphasis on product management, business analysis and marketing;
  • Experience in gaming, entertainment, and technology is an asset;
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.


Technical Requirements

  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Strong ability to communicate issues and analyze implications;
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills;
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office;
  • Familiarity with project management methodology;
  • Ability to understand and define technology requirements;
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of principles, concepts, practices and techniques of product management;
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following areas is preferred: sports, casino, lottery;
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business situations, develop solutions, and provide recommendations;
  • Strong understanding and experience using various complex software tools, especially content management tools;
  • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, meet established deadlines and drive innovation;
  • Understanding of popular gaming mechanics, trends and platforms.
