JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Specialist, Promotions is a subject matter expert and contributes to the development of an enterprise promotional marketing strategy for BCLC. This role is within the Casino marketing team and focuses on increasing Casino revenue and player retention – a key priority for the organization. This role creates added value for players, motivates action by creating meaningful, relevant, and timely promotions to incentivize acquisition, trial, and player retention. The Senior Specialist, Promotions supports the development of the B&M casino marketing promotional strategy and builds and executes promotional offers & events that support B&M casino goals and business objectives. 


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Applies specialized knowledge and leads creative development for promotional led initiatives with internal creative teams, vendor partners and agency partners. Develops the creative brief, copy points and key messages, ensuring brand standards are upheld and liaising with internal teams for review.
  • Supports the Manager, Casino Marketing in the development of promotions marketing processes and support in building the promotional strategy for the casinos.
  • Provides promotional marketing expertise by way of developing promotions for product launches, VIP programs, sponsorship initiatives and competitive response.
  • Develops and executes all player communication POS leveraged for retail promotions collaborating with gaming and channel teams on printing, kitting, and distribution. 
  • Establishes and sources prizing and promotional items that align to player/retailer needs, and corporate sustainability and social responsibility standards, including the development and maintenance of an inventory management system.
  • Owns the promotional calendar across all retail and online channels, working with the casino marketing team and internal partners to ensure alignment to the overall Marketing calendar.
  • Leads the team in establishing targets and KPIs to evaluate successes and opportunities for improvement after each promotion. Forecasts, tracks, and reconciles Free Play forecasting for B&M casino to monitor player reinvestment. 
  • Leads low to moderately complex initiatives, marketing requirements, and promotional budgets. 
  • Acts as a competitive intelligence authority within the promotions team through research and analysis in the gaming industry. Leads process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiencies and speed to market with both with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leads, collaborates, and builds relationships with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to ensure successful development and execution of marketing plans and initiatives. 
  • Provides informal leadership through coaching, training, and mentoring to collaborate, ideate and develop cross-functional promotional mechanics and processes that support BCLC’s corporate objectives.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
A combination of education, experience, and demonstrated skills may be considered.
 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, such as marketing;
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in marketing, experiential marketing, advertising, and branding, with an emphasis in the area of promotional marketing.

 

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Solid knowledge of principles, concepts, practices, techniques, and tools in the areas of marketing and project management
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics
  • Extensive experience in the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans;
  • Advanced marketing communications skills and ability to deliver integrated marketing campaigns;
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
