JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Specialist, iGaming Product develops the product strategies and programs for the iGaming portfolio on PlayNow by excelling in player and product understanding and leveraging expert insights and data analytics from vendors, department members, cross-functional teams, and industry professionals. This role brings product strategies to life through developing plans and leading teams to complete specific initiatives to deliver highly entertaining product experiences to ensure player engagement while maximizing revenues with integrity and social purpose.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • With the guidance of their manager, develops and implements diverse, multifaceted, and specialized product strategies by fully understanding and advocating for the players’ needs. Drives and optimizes the product performance of iGaming for PlayNow.
  • Provides specialized knowledge on all product line planning, including product release roadmaps and prioritizing initiatives by weighing player benefits against enterprise alignment, cost, and time of delivery. Monitors the execution of activities and strategies of game content, jackpots, promotional tools, and other support for iGaming initiatives on PlayNow.
  • Makes strategic decisions and recommendations on the player-product experience, including pricing, configuration, and placement to meet specific player and stakeholder needs.
  • Maintains and applies strong knowledge of product and player preferences by collaborating with vendors, business intelligence, and operations teams to uncover new insights and recognize opportunities for new product direction.
  • Assists in forecasting financial resource and operational needs for expenditures and budgeting related to iGaming product management and development.
  • Presents ideas and strategies to the various stakeholders to socialize acceptance, garner feedback, and adjust product strategies where needed.
  • Leads and guides cross-functional teams by helping them understand the product strategy, deliver on product initiatives while promoting high team performance, and proactively resolve complex challenges by encouraging new approaches for more effective delivery of player-focused products.
  • Establishes and nurtures partnerships with various internal and external stakeholders, including internal departments, vendors, regulatory and government bodies, to leverage best approaches for product delivery to players, and positions BCLC for long-term success through leveraging relationships and negotiating for mutual value.
  • Acts as delegate for their leader as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
A combination of education, experience, and demonstrated skills may be considered.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline such as business administration or marketing;
  • 4 to 6 years related progressive experience in product management (preference to product management within the online mainstream gaming and entertainment industry).

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS 

  • Advanced knowledge of principles, concepts, practices, techniques and tools in the areas of product management and product strategies, specifically for iGaming products and services;
  • Proven ability to deliver player-facing solutions, including digital products such as online games, applications, promotions, features, and marketing campaigns, ensuring engaging and seamless player experiences across multiple channels.
  • Strong cross-functional understanding of key stakeholders, including vendors (both new and existing), game delivery, marketing, compliance, customer support team(s).
  • Demonstrated formal or informal leadership skills including the ability to act as a change agent to educate and influence the continuous improvement of product offerings;
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business situations, develop solutions, evaluate outcomes, and readjust solutions for improvement for an iGaming operation;
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Preferred qualifications may include:

  • iGaming knowledge preferred;
  • Understanding of Agile methodology or experience working with a cross-functional team environment would be an asset;
  • Understanding of B.C. gaming industry would be an asset.
